So this week = death-ness. I am SO very much not looking forward to it. It's choir intensive week, so we have choir everyday, plus, opera is next week so we are called for all of the opera times, plus I'm making up lessons that I missed from before so Im singing basically all the time... this = tired vocal chords. I also have to sing in masterclass on wednesday and do a skills presentation on friday, and I have NO idea what I'm going to do for that.

However, this weekend was much fun.
Thursday was the cabaret...which was insane, and so much ended up being last minute, but we sold about 70 tickets which was more than we were expecting, it was totaly full and people seemed to really enjoy it. Although I realized as the night progressed that being in 10 numbers was probably too many..I had a LOT of fun. I threw one of the videos up on youtube so my sister could watch it...I'll probably take it down farily soon..but If you want to give it a watch..here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8uXFlAwFjTM There are some dropped words and we had never rehearsed with our set..and we went SUPER fast..but it still seemed to work out.

On Friday, We went to see Urinetown in Guelph, and while ours was better (tee hee) it was totaly enjoyable! Soooo funny. It really showed how you could takt that show in soo many different directions and still have it bascially work. When we got back from Urinetown we went to michelles for her B-day, meagan and I mostly hung out in the much less crazy downstairs, then we went out to symposium, then dropped by the Spur where everyone was drunkenly dancing and singing..it was a little weird to be there totaly sober, but dancing was fun...it was also funny to notice how much kale humps people when he's drunk...lol...it was rather hilarious.
Saturday was St. Pattys day...we went over to kales and were basically our weirdo ridiculous selves...there was much straddeling involved....hilarious good times.

In terms of schools for next year: I finished auditions for St. Lawrence College, Randolph and Sheridan all for Musical theatre. Ive been accepted to SLC, and I'm waiting till the end of this week to hear about randolph and till the 31st for sheridan...I really really want to know! ahh..freaking out about it! Since next year is still so very up in the air.

anyway..im going to go to bed..because sleep is good!

Three things that I miss....in the order they left.

1. Spring: or at least the spring like weather we had for a week or so. Until the skies decided to dump four billion pounds of slush on waterloo. Stupid slush...its all cold, and almost gave me trenchfoot walking back from the spur. However...slushy streets to provide ample opportunities for corny reunions in slushy streets... tee hee.

2. Urinetown : not the place of course, the musical. It was honestly a fabulous time. I really enjoyed myself this year, more than hair because there were no major disasters more than fame for a number of reasons. Im definitely going to run for director again next year. I really think I learned a lot and also, I think we put on a great show. The shows were oversold everynight, with people begging us to cram in extra chairs or let them sit in the back. My parents really liked it, Tarah and Joey liked it and Jess called it the best piece of student theatre she had ever seen, which is a real compliment from her. The show itself went really smoothly everynight, the audiences ate it up. Im worried we won't be able to find as perfect a show next year, Urinetown really was perfect for our group...good on me for thinking of it...and good on Laura for helping me convince everyone else! The cast and crew I think bonded more than we had in the past as well, and I got to know some people from last year, that I really didn't know. I didn't interact with anyone really since almost all of my scenes were just me, or me and the nick character. I did miss being on the stage...but not in a direct, i want to take over her role kind of way..which is a real tribute to how fantastic our cast was... 'cause Im a huge Diva, and would totaly want to steal someones role if I thought they were doing it wrong. I was so proud of the whole cast...*tear*

The Cast party was such a good time! Firstly, we (the directors &producer) were given toilet seats with a cast photo and everyones signature on them...fantastic present. I finaly figured out how to hang it up on my wall today...I love it. Wilfs was fun, the cast awards were fun, and the slideshow I put together was fun to watch, especially when we were all belting our brains out singing along with the urinetown music I had put on as background music. Then it was off through the nasty weather to the spur. We took the bus, but I didn't have my one card...I flashed my drivers licsense, which totaly worked! yay...note to self: carry one card. The spur was fun. I actually sang karaoke not with everyone else, (did a bit of holding out for a hero before i had to get off the stage because there were too many of us and sang Footloose with Janice and Tammy...good times) also there was a whole kissing thing going on....apparently our group is pretty comfortable with each other, or pretty drunk, or both. Anyhow...Clubcest is best apparently and I hope no one had/has mono! yeesh!

But I miss everyone already..so its good that people are heading to Lauras tomorow to hang out.

3. Meagan: Meagan left for spain. And even though its only been two days, its weird to know that she's in a different country. She was online for a bit today, so she got there safely which is good to know. I know she'll have a fantastic time and learn a lot but Im selfish and miss her, and I know I'm not the only one, based on the tearful goodbye in the middle of Booster Juice (which clearly is the most appropriate place to say goodbye to one of your best friends for six months).

Anyway...those are three things I miss.
Now to sleep...masterclass tomorow.

So Urinetown opens tomorow night, which will offically be the first show I have ever directed. Im happy to say that I love the cast and crew and that the show is totaly ready! (unlike Mirvish's 'Lord of the Rings' which has had its first two shows cancelled! yeeeps!) Dress rehearsal went really well last night. and the run before that had the entire directorial team rolling on the floor laughing it was so fantastic.
But the highlite of my day yesterday was definitely when I forgot to bring a prop from my fridge and Danielle called Liane to see if she could bring it. Its a container of cream cheese and on the phone Liane said...."ok, is it the one labeled.....pigeon poo?" and they both cracked up. (it was the one labelled pigeon poo...why is there pigeon poo in the show you ask? you'll just have to see to find out!)
ps. We need more pigeon poo, is not the kind of phrase you're likely to say in the average persons life, I said it at least five times last night alone.....
